I started Élise California in 2017, during one of the most uncertain periods of my life. Just before I became pregnant, I unexpectedly lost my job. Suddenly everything I had planned felt fragile, and the future seemed unclear. What was meant to be a joyful time was filled with worry, doubt, and big questions about what would come next.

Instead of giving up, I chose to start something of my own. While I was pregnant, I began building this store from the ground up. I didn’t have all the answers, but I had a strong desire to create stability, independence, and a better future for my growing family. Élise California was born from that moment — out of courage, hope, and the belief that even in uncertain times, something beautiful can begin.

I named the store Élise after my daughter. She became my greatest inspiration and my reason to keep going, even on difficult days. Every decision I make for this brand is guided by the same values I want for her: confidence, warmth, and the freedom to be yourself.

California represents exactly that to me — freedom, fresh starts, and the courage to follow your dreams. It’s a place where people reinvent themselves, where creativity thrives, and where anything feels possible. That spirit is woven into everything we do at Élise California.
